The Ministry of Health and Wellness is restoring services at health centres islandwide, as cleanup activities and the restoration of power and water supply continue.

While several facilities will be opened tomorrow (Friday, October 31, 2025), there is still uncertainty about others as there is little or no communication in some areas. Also, some health workers have been severely affected by the passage of Hurricane Melissa; while some health facilities remain inaccessible and/or have suffered damage.

REPORTING FOR DUTY

Health staff are asked to report to their place of work. If your facility is inaccessible, then you are to report to the nearest facility, health department or the Parish or Regional Emergency Operations Centre (EOC). Also, health teams are encouraged to make every effort to keep the EOC informed of challenges being experienced.
